I have to admit, I'm a bit proud of my brave little guy. He was all excitement during orientation, the walk to school, and entering the class room. He knew no one in his class, hadn't been inside the school before, and only experienced a 2 1/2 hrs. school day in the past, but he didn't flinch. He was all excited to tell how the first day went. Only later that evening as I was questioning him further did he admit the day seemed "really long" and they only let him play at recess. But since then the days have gotten shorter, he has a new friend, Oscar, and his name has stayed in the green light.
