When is it Halloween, mommy?

Thanks to the Halloween edition of Oriental Trading Co., Lucy now thinks Halloween is any day now. Explaining that Halloween was 63 days away helped Peter to lose interest, but not Lucy. After studying the magazine upon its arrival, Lucy has since carried it everywhere she goes, the car, the stroller, to bed. She woke us up the other morning, bringing it into our bed saying "Wead this!" "There's nothing to read," I said. "Yes, there is," she said pointing to the words. And so I read, "'Mars candy assortment, 2 lbs bag, $9.99...'" and so on for a few minutes to prove my point. "Can we get this, mommy?" was the other constant question. "We already have better Halloween decorations than the crate-paper spider and the Mad Scientist life size poster" was my response. "Where are our Halloween decowations?" asked Lucy. "It's August still. It's a bit early to start decorating for Halloween," I explained. To which, Lucy then began her hunt for the Halloween decorations. She wasn't too disappointed when she couldn't locate the Halloween, instead found the Christmas. Our compromise was to let her decorate her room for Halloween two months in advance. Fair.
